SUMMARY

Perform quality control testing of telecom equipment to the established standards of quality and maintaining production quotas by performing the following duties.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Test out of service product received and factory defaulting digital and IP phone systems as well as other telecom equipment (PBX, servers, switches, cards, etc.)
  • Perform quality control testing of digital and IP phone systems as well as other telecom equipment (PBX, servers, switches, cards, etc.)
  • Refurbish, repair and/or clean circuit cards, servers, switches, and other telecom equipment
  • Upload and unload SIP on varying Cisco/Avaya/Polycom phones
  • Configure UNIX systems to help setup TFTP/FTP servers

Education/Training

Associates degree from a two-year college or technical school

 

Experience

Six months to two years related experience

 

Communication Skills

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.                                 

 

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have an intermediate skill level in Microsoft Excel and Outlook; Intermediate skill level in internet browsing; Keyboarding skills. NetSuite experience preferred but not required.
