Jobing Description

Duties: Responsible for 24x7 network operations fault management and provisioning support for voiceover internet protocol (VoIP) application network; monitor, troubleshoot and maintain UNIX servers, operating systems, VoIP applications, SoftSwitch applications and internet protocol (IP) networking in a telecommunications network operations environment; collaborate with peers and technical support organizations to manage services, develop technical solutions and restore services; partner with the Tier 3 technical support group to troubleshoot system problems that impact service availability and develop long-term fixes which prevent service failures; assist technical support group in performing scheduled maintenance and deployment on production systems.

Skills / Requirements

Requirements:  Bachelors or foreign equivalent degree in  Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science and two years experience monitoring, troubleshooting and maintaining UNIX servers, operating systems, voiceover internet protocol (VoIP) applications, SoftSwitch applications and internet protocol (IP) networking in a telecommunications network operations environment.
