Data Center Operations Systems Engineer/Integrator

Location: Missouri TS/SCI required

Description: The National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG) Systems Engineer/Integrator (SI) will serve as a member of the NDC-W Data Center Operations Integration team. The SI will track, manage, and resolve data center technical issues and integrate new tenants into the data center space. The NDC Operations SI will provide technical leadership and direction for the transition of applications across the customer enterprise and will establish/maintain a high level of customer intimacy in coordinating all integration activities. The SI will function as a technical point of contact for data center issues; work with other teams to resolve integrated schedule conflicts; develop operations concepts in support of establishing new capabilities; and develop requirements in support of new capabilities defined through the NGA RFC process. The SI will work side-by-side with contractor and government personnel to ensure all issues related to the NDC-W are addressed. This effort is a multi-contractor program; therefore, candidates should be comfortable working with a diverse set of contractors and all grade-levels of customer personnel.

Tasks:

* Lead NSG SI efforts required to satisfy customer requirements
* Identify and resolve technical issues affecting the data center architecture
* Provide lifecycle project management analysis, conduct studies, support major reviews, perform hardware, software, and technology evaluations, identify solutions, provide recommendations, and plan activities
* Research and conduct architecture trades and product evaluations
* Represent the NGA customer at applicable meetings (boards, reviews, TEMs, tag-up s / status)
* Plan and lead technical exchange meetings and ensure stakeholder involvement on technical issues
* Coordinate with other parts of NSG SI and with government representatives and system developers to ensure shared, consistent understanding of requirements

Required Qualifications:

* B.S / B.A degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
* 9 years technical experience

5 years demonstrated systems engineering/systems integration experience working with NGA and Mission Partner (MP) systems/activities in a data center environment

Demonstrated experience working with NGA change management processes

Strong interpersonal, problem solving, organizational and multi-tasking skills

* Excellent written, verbal, research, and presentation skills
* Ability to work independently or within a team environment
* Ability to work in a Government environment as part of a multi-contractor team
* Ability to handle numerous multifaceted projects in difficult, dynamic, and demanding environments
* TS/SCI security clearance
* Limited travel required

Desired Qualifications:

Experience managing system interfaces and end-to-end systems integration of new and existing components

Experience in developing project plans and schedules

Ability to read, interpret and de-conflict architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings, documents, and timelines

Demonstrated experience with data center design and development inclusive of hardware, systems management and monitoring software, and data center management best practices
