The FMO Agent Manager is responsible for achieving assigned sales/membership growth targets through the agents in his/her market. FMOs are agencies that contract with UnitedHealthcare Medicare & Retiree to sell our products to prospective buyers. The Agent Manager may interact with all levels of staff within the FMO up to and including a local owner/leader.

Build and focus sales talent

FMO Sales Channels: Assist agents in uncovering market niches and actively pursuing growth opportunities. Monitor sales results, trends and key performance indicators (KPI's) and hold agents accountable for achieving targets.

Product portfolio knowledge: Achieve and maintain strong knowledge of UnitedHealthcare Medicare & Retirement products. Understand the target audience of our products and how to position products and value proposition to remain competitive.

Ensure Compliance: Ensure agents adhere to selling guidelines associated with Medicare regulations, partner expectations (e.g.; AARP) and company policies and procedures.



Please note: 3 weeks each month, the Agent Manager will cover the St. Louis area. 1 week each month will cover Springfield, MO.

Skills / Requirements


  • Bachelors degree preferred

  • Experience working with or within the broker community

  • Medicare Sales experience - including knowledge of CMS regulations

  • A current license to sell health insurance

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills

  • Solid reporting and analysis skills - comfortable in a metrics driven environment

  • Ability to travel up to 75%* of the time across assigned territory

  • Reliable, insured transportation and a valid driver's license

  • Computer competency - strong comfort/skill level in working with/learning and assisting others with Microsoft Office applications and leads databases.
